Fixed Beam and Moving Beam are the core load-bearing and transmission components of the grate cooler’s grate bed system. They serve as the mounting base for grate bars (grate plates), and coordinate with each other to realize the reciprocating conveying of high-temperature clinker.
Core Functions
Fixed Beam
1. Load-bearing Support :Fixed installation on the cooler body, bears the static load of high-temperature clinker and the weight of grate bars, providing a stable support foundation for the entire grate bed.
2. Grate Bar Mounting :Equipped with mounting grooves/bolting holes, used to fix fixed grate bars, forming a static grate surface for clinker support and air distribution.
3. Positioning & Guiding :Provides positioning reference for moving beams and moving grate bars, ensuring the reciprocating motion runs smoothly without deviation.
Moving Beam
1. Transmission & Driving :Connected to the grate cooler’s transmission mechanism (crankshaft, hydraulic cylinder), driven to perform horizontal reciprocating motion.
2. Clinker Conveyance :Drives the moving grate bars mounted on it to reciprocate, pushing high-temperature clinker forward step by step along the grate bed..
3. Load-bearing & Impact Resistance :Bears the dynamic load of clinker during conveying, withstands frequent impact and vibration from reciprocating motion.
Working Conditions
· Temperature:300–600°C (long-term service, lower than grate bars as they are not in direct contact with high-temperature clinker)
· Loads:High static/dynamic load, mechanical impact, vibration, thermal stress
· Atmosphere:Dust-containing, high-humidity flue gas environment
